Location of new Banksy artwork revealed

A new Banksy piece has been revealed to have been painted on a street in Marseille.

Banksy shared his new work on his Instagram account yesterday.

It was not known where the artwork was made, which includes a black and white drawing of a lighthouse with the words "I want to be what you see" written on it.

Today it was revealed that the work was erected on a street in Marseille, France.

BBC Verify has confirmed that the graffiti is on Felix Fregier street in the south of the city.

The originality of Banksy's works, which keep their identity secret, can only be confirmed through his Instagram account.

The artist is known for frequently touching on political issues such as immigration, the Ukrainian war and homelessness in his works.

Last summer, the series of animal figures he drew at various locations in London, the capital of Britain, was much talked about.
