The 5th Aizanoi Short Film Festival, scheduled to be held in the ancient city of Aizanoi in Kütahya and Çavdarhisar on September 4-6, 2025, has been canceled . The Organizing Committee announced that current conditions do not allow the event to take place.

The ancient city of Aizanoi, located in the Çavdarhisar district of Kütahya and on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List, has been making headlines in recent years for its short film festival. Aiming to bring together filmgoers in the ancient city's historic setting, the festival , in its fifth year, planned to open a space for young directors and independent filmmakers.

However, the Festival Organizing Committee announced the cancellation to the public in a statement: "Our festival aimed to meet with filmgoers in the ancient city of Aizanoi in Kütahya and Çavdarhisar. However, due to current circumstances, it was not possible to hold the event as planned. We thank you for your interest, support, and understanding; we hope to meet again in the coming years."
