The film 'The Godfather' will meet the audience with the accompaniment of a symphony orchestra

The Oscar-winning film "The Godfather" will meet art lovers on September 14th at the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theater , simultaneously with its giant screen screening with Nino Rota's immortal soundtrack.

The works will be performed by the 65-person Istanbul Film Orchestra at the event, organized by Piu Entertainment.

Released by Paramount Pictures in 1972, the film delves into the story of the Corleone family from 1945 to 1955 and their rivalry with other New York mob families.

The film, which is about the main character played by Marlon Brando handing over power to his youngest son Al Pacino , also stars James Caan, John Cazale, Robert Duvall and Diane Keaton .

Italian composer Nino Rota, who composed the film's memorable score, is known not only for his film scores but also for his operas and symphonic works. A longtime collaborator with prominent directors such as Federico Fellini, Rota won an Oscar for Best Original Score in 1975 for his compositions for "The Godfather Part II."

The show, which will meet the audience at the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theater accompanied by a symphony orchestra on September 14th in Istanbul, will be presented to art lovers at the ATO Congresium Ankara on September 16th and at the İzmir Kültürpark Open Air Theater on September 18th.
