Hailee Steinfeld stole the spotlight at Paris Couture Week—and not just because of her outfit. The newlywed actress wore her wedding band—a glitzy eternity ring—to Tamara Ralph’s show, days after she was photographed wearing both it and the round diamond engagement ring her husband, Josh Allen, gave her.

Steinfeld’s stack has serious sparkle. “Round diamonds have always been in style, but what I find more interesting about Hailee’s stack is its scale,” Steph Mazuera, who founded her own namesake brand that creates made-to-order engagement rings, tells ELLE. “Her wedding band is substantial enough to make a statement on its own, something I’m seeing more and more of, especially with clients who opt for larger center stones in their engagement rings. Many choose to wear just their wedding band on certain days, so designing a band that shines independently has become a more popular consideration. Hailee’s rings feel both classic and current, designed with both versatility and longevity in mind.”

Multiple jewelers spoke to ELLE about Steinfeld’s rings. Here, everything you need to know about her wedding jewelry.

Steinfeld opted for a timeless diamond shape. “It sounds a little ironic, but choosing such a classic diamond shape makes Hailee’s ring stand out when elongated shapes like oval and emerald are trending,” Lauren Boc, founder and CEO of Hera Fine Jewelry, tells ELLE.

Compared to other celebrities who opt for large center stones, “the diamond is a balanced size—it has a lot of presence on her hand and feels special, but it isn’t too big,” Boc adds. “Personally, I love that she didn’t choose an enormous diamond. I think there’s something very elegant about choosing something relatively understated, and it’s going to be much more comfortable and practical.”

Mazuera was similarly impressed with the diamond’s cut. “Hailee’s round brilliant cut is a timeless and classic choice,” she says. “Round brilliants are known for their sparkle and symmetry, with 58 precisely cut facets designed to maximize light return. Her ring is simple, elegant, and allows the quality of the stone to take center stage.”

Size-wise, Boc estimates the stone is two and a half to three carats, while Mazuera thinks it is around four carats.

Steinfeld’s ring also features a glittery diamond pavé band—with some extra-smart touches. “The diamond pavé band is a really nice width—it isn’t too dainty and feels proportionate to the center stone,” Boc says. “That will help support the center diamond and keep the diamonds in the band secure as well. This looks like a cathedral setting to me, which is the most durable way to elevate the diamond off the finger, so it can stack flush with a wedding band.”

Mazuera agrees: “Hailee’s ring features a substantial pavé band, and I love the way it arches up to meet her center stone. This style is known as a cathedral setting. It adds both structural support and an elegant, architectural lift to the diamond. The way the shoulders curve upward creates a beautiful line, guiding the eye directly to the center stone. It’s a refined way to add dimension and durability while keeping the focus on the diamond itself.”

Mazuera believes Steinfeld’s ring “would likely be valued around $75,000 to $125,000 if the diamond is mined, or approximately $10,000 to $20,000 if the diamond is lab-grown,” she says. “The value can vary widely depending on the diamond’s color, clarity, and origin, but it’s undoubtedly a significant piece.”

Boc, meanwhile, estimates its value is roughly $50,000 to $75,000.

Steinfeld added a lot more sparkle to her stack with her eternity band—enough that the ring is a statement piece fit to wear on its own (which the actress did at Paris Couture Week).

“Hailee’s wedding band looks like an oval diamond eternity band,” Boc says. “The stones are pretty large, which gives it a very luxurious look. The cathedral setting of her engagement ring allows this relatively tall band to stack flush, because the round diamond is elevated off her hand, providing clearance for the wedding band to slide underneath.”

Mazuera believes the stones are “radiant-cut diamonds in a shared-prong or u-prong setting. This style allows maximum light exposure, giving each stone a bold, brilliant presence.” She also called out the cathedral setting on Steinfeld’s engagement ring, which “lifts the center stone just enough to let the band sit flush underneath creating a striking stack.”

Boc points out that it can be risky to wear both pieces—an engagement ring with a diamond pavé band and an eternity ring with more diamonds—together too often. Steinfeld wore just her wedding band in Paris, for example.

“Over the years, that diamond wedding band and diamond engagement ring are going to wear down if she stacks them together daily,” Boc notes. “Because diamonds are much harder than metal, with the friction of normal wear, the diamonds on each band will start eating into the prongs of the other band. When our clients choose designs like this, we recommend that they solder the rings together so there’s no friction, or at least keep an eye on the setting.”

Steinfeld opted for an engagement ring and wedding band style that will stand the test of time. “A round diamond engagement ring with a pavé wedding band isn’t really trendy—it’s very classic,” Boc says. “I hope Hailee’s choice inspires people to get the ring they love and not worry about what’s popular right now. I always tell our clients at Hera that what matters is that you love your ring, whether that means something trendy, classic, or totally unique.”
