The Pitt was nominated for a total of 13 Emmys for its first season. At the Creative Arts Emmys earlier this month, it won two awards for Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series and Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series (Shawn Hatosy). At the Sunday night ceremony, LaNasa won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She and Wyle shared a sweet moment to celebrate her award.

Wyle, the show’s star, writer, director, and executive producer, also won the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, his first Emmy nomination since his 1999 nod for his role in ER. The cast, crew, and creator John Wells then all reunited on stage when The Pitt was awarded Outstanding Drama Series at the end of the night.

Wyle admitted that he was surprised to get the recognition after so many years. “I gave up hope that this was going to be something that my career was going to be part of again,” he told People. “It’s really amazing.”

LaNasa previously spoke out about her first-time nomination. “It’s crazy,” she said to People. “You stay on the sidelines for so much of your career, you don’t really ever expect to be one of the nominees. To be one is really just delightful. I feel like I got a ticket to ride, and I’m happy about it.”

The Pitt’s other nominations included two noms for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series, two noms for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series, Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series, Outstanding Contemporary Makeup, Outstanding Sound Mixing, and Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup.

The second season of The Pitt will premiere on HBO Max in January 2026.
