Meghan Markle Shares Video Clip of Lilibet Speaking in Adorable American Accent
preview for 5 Things to Know About Priyanka Chopra Jonas

On Saturday, Meghan Markle shared a few clips of conversations with her children, Archie and Lilibet, in her Instagram Stories, revealing their adorable American accents. In the first, the little princess is helping her mom make jam on the stove and the clip shows the bubbling brew and her tiny hands working a bowl with a drop of the sweet treat inside.

“What do we think, Lili?” Meghan asks her.

The three-year-old replies, “I think it’s beautiful!”

In a second clip, Meghan is filming a lively coy pond. A child who sounds like Archie can be heard saying to her, “Momma, watch this!”

The Stories also showed Meghan making a casserole, putting her jam into jars, and enjoying a “cozy family weekend.”

In March, Meghan talked about her kids and what they inherited from husband Prince Harry on The Drew Barrymore show.

“Oh, some of the words that they still say with a British accent, so they’ll say zeh-bra [for zebra] and what else do they say?” she shared. “They have these little moments where it comes out and because they have very American accents, but they say words that are just like him, and I think it’s adorable.”

Clips of Archie speaking with an American accent have come up over the years and in February, the duchess shared an Instagram Story where one of her kids speaks to her offscreen with an American accent.

Earlier this month, an insider described the children as living in a “happy bubble” to People, adding that “the kids are adorable. They’re incredibly smart, articulate, and fun.”

Meghan told People in an interview herself that Archie and Lili have dramatically altered her life in the best way.

“When your children get to a certain age—when you’re not just playing in the sandbox with them but almost playing in your own sandbox again—it’s super joyful,” she said. “As a woman, a mom and a wife, to be able to find yourself again—in a way that was always present but that you maybe couldn’t put as much attention on as you now can when your kids are a little bit older—is a wonderful feeling.”
