“They absolutely want a family,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in the wake of the couple’s August engagement announcement. “Their dream is to have kids.” The insider also noted that the pair might “not wait too long” before starting to plan for a family.

The source continued, “[Swift]’s in a great space in her career, and with her success, and she can take some time away.”

This update comes nearly a year after another source told Us Weekly in September 2024 that Swift and Kelce were discussing the next steps in their relationship. “Taylor and Travis are very committed and serious about their future,” the insider said. “Taylor is ready for the next era of her life. She knows it will be special.”

A second source added, “They both see marriage as something they want sooner rather than later, and they both want kids. Taylor has always [been excited by] the idea of marriage and starting a family. She just hadn’t found The One until now.”

The couple announced their engagement news on August 26 with an Instagram post. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift wrote alongside photos of her and Kelce in his home garden in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
