Who Is Selling Sunset’s Newest Agent, Sandra Vergara?
It’s been more than a year since Selling Sunset season 8 introduced us to real estate agent Alanna Gold. Now, the show’s ninth season, which premieres on October 29, is adding a brand new cast member into the mix: Oppenheim Group agent Sandra Vergara. Here’s what you need to know about the latest addition to the cast of Selling Sunset season 9, including the famous connections she brings to the table.
Sandra Vergara is Sofia Vergara’s cousin and adopted sister. There’s a story behind her recognizable name—she’s related to Modern Family icon Sofia Vergara. As noted by Tudum, Sandra is Sofia’s “cousin and adoptive sister.” HuffPost previously shared that Sandra was adopted by her aunt, Sofia’s mom Margarita, “when she was just a month old,” after her own mother’s health deteriorated. “My mother, who was their mom’s sister, couldn’t raise me because she has emotional problems, so my aunt adopted me,” Sandra told the outlet.
It’s entirely unsurprising that the 37-year-old Colombian had been building a career in the entertainment industry for years prior to joining Selling Sunset. In 2011, she spoke to HuffPost about being cast in the horror movie Fright Night opposite Colin Farrell, and was asked whether being Sofia’s sister benefited her career. “It helps, not because Sofia helped me,” Sandra explained. “It’s not like that. I did everything on my own, but it helps because it’s name recognition.”
Noting that her sister has a huge fanbase, Sandra said, “She is beloved by the public, and so being related to someone who is so dear is a good thing.” The real estate agent added, “There’s really not much anyone can do to help another person. For me, leveraging is a myth. She did it on her own. I’ll do it on my own. That’s how it is.”
As for whether or not she’s close to the Griselda star, Sandra said, “My relationship with Sofia is normal...She invited me to live with her in Los Angeles, and that’s where I started to take off and choose what I wanted to do—and for that I’m grateful to her for everything.”
Joining Selling Sunset “felt like the perfect fit.”Joining The Oppenheim Group and working alongside Selling Sunset’s glamorous cast “felt like the perfect fit” for Sandra, who described her colleagues to Tudum as “people who are at the top of their game.” In fact, moving away from acting and into real estate appeared to be a natural evolution for Sandra. “I’ve always had an eye for design and a love for people, so combining that in real estate just clicked,” she told the outlet.
Of course, Sandra was aware of the Netflix phenomenon Selling Sunset before joining the series, but she had no qualms about joining the cast. “I’d seen [Selling Sunset] and always thought the women were incredibly dynamic,” she told Tudum. “But being on the inside now, it’s a whole different level of excitement.”

Sandra has also suggested that new episodes of the juicy reality series will contain plenty of drama. “Season 9 definitely brings some unexpected twists,” she told Tudum. “There are some jaw-dropping moments you won’t see coming.” Further teasing her appearance on the reality show, Sandra shared on Instagram, “[L]et’s just say I brought a bit more sparkle, depth, and mischief to the [Sunset] Strip.”
Notably, RadarOnline reported that Sandra acquired her real estate license in May 2025, two months prior to being cast on Selling Sunset.
She’s worked as both an actress and TV presenter. One of the reasons Sandra is such a natural on Selling Sunset is that she’s been working in onscreen roles since the early 2000s. Prior to booking 2011’s Fright Night, Vergara secured small parts on episodes of CSI: Miami and Nip/Tuck, according to IMDb. Appearances on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and The Bold and the Beautiful followed.
As a TV presenter and host, Sandra collaborated with RuPaul on E!’s Good Work, was a beauty expert on Yahoo!’s digital series Hook’d, and was named a Los Angeles correspondent for People magazine’s People (The TV Show!) in 2020.
Prior to becoming an actress, Sandra “worked as a wardrobe stylist and makeup artist,” while living with sister Sofia “for four years,” E! News reported. As a model, Sandra has posed for publications such as Maxim, Esquire, and Regard.
Sandra is most definitely a multi-hyphenate. Alongside her work as a TV host, actress, model, and realtor, Sandra is an artist and painter. She has shared some of her work on Instagram, captioning one picture, “I painted this as a celebration of the human form, unity, and the timeless dance of light and shadow. Using oil pastels, gauche, charcoal, ink on canvas.”
According to Sandra’s Instagram profile, she’s also a “brain coach,” and regularly shares inspirational videos on the platform. For instance, in June 2025, she captioned one post, “Things I wish I knew when I was younger: Don’t seek confirmation that you don’t belong, your ego will always deliver.” The caption continued, “Look for the sparks. That’s where you belong.”

Although Sandra’s relationship status remains unclear, in May 2024, she shared an Instagram snap posing with the lead antagonist in Prime Video’s The Boys, actor Antony Starr. “Too cool for school,” she captioned the post. The pair attended the Emmys together in September 2024, where they walked the red carpet together and posed for photos at the Ohana Festival later that month.
The Selling Sunset star has yet to comment on whether she’s dating anyone, but an April 2025 Instagram post suggested she was moving on after a breakup. “A glow-up isn’t revenge, it’s transcendence,” she wrote. “Healing looks good. Evolving feels better.” One thing is certain: With a starring role on one of Netflix’s biggest reality TV shows, Sandra’s career is on the rise.
