About the workCarmen Díez de Rivera was a woman who broke with her destiny and chose a path of struggle for freedom and justice. From a young age, she rebelled against social conventions, paying a high price, but never surrendering. Despite the difficulties, she achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first female Chief of Staff of the President of the Government during the Spanish Transition. In a time of great political turmoil, Carmen became a key figure in the advance toward democracy.
On stage, Carmen recounts the high points of her intense and challenging political career while recalling the intimate episodes that shaped her misfortune and her character. Some of the most important figures in our history will pass through her memory and before our eyes.
