A work dignified by the MNAC

Regardless of the outcome of the conflict over the Sijena mural paintings, we must always value the work of salvaging and preserving the work, which has allowed it, albeit partially, to survive to this day. The former was undertaken by the team of art historian Josep Gudiol in 1936; the latter by the MNAC (National Museum of Art and Culture), which not only guaranteed the work's conservation but also dignified it by giving it a prominent place in its discourse on Romanesque art.
