Lombardy is a region rich in initiatives and competitions, especially in the evening , where athletes belonging to the various categories compete in the most genuine sporting expression with the natural intent of excelling. Lombardy is the undisputed leader in the number and quality of competitions that have only one limitation: they are dedicated to proven competitors, often with long experience behind them.

However, the developments do not always follow the outlined path exclusively. In fact, this year, between the months of March and May, the Under 12 Regional Team Championship took place with four teams: – AsD Amatori Bocce (BS) – AsD Benaco Dancelli (BS) – AsD Renese (VA) – AsD Zognese (BG) In a traveling championship, with four stages in four different locations – Esenta di Lonato del Garda for the Amatori Bocce, Milan at Caccialanza for the Renese, Salò for the Benaco Dancelli and Zogno for the Zognese – an interesting and engaging mix of competitions took place, one based on the approach and two on the raffa, with the final score resulting from the sum of the points obtained at each stage.

Teams made up of a maximum of six players between the ages of six and twelve . A fascinating experiment that had the undoubted charm of lining up very young players in the contest who are not Carneadi of Manzonian memory, but have the basis to practice the sport at notable levels, even in opposition to the experienced practitioners. The Renese team prevailed – coaches Thierry Bossi, Diego Guerrieri, Simona Oliveri, Sara Politi – with, in strict alphabetical order, Beatrice Borin, Federico and Francesco Guerrieri (on loan from Caccialanza but Renesi by extraction), Gabriele Marin, Federico Sgarabotto and Elia Tasdelen, who always led the general classification, even if in the last stage in Zogno the Amatori Bocce obtained, at partial level, the best score of the event. Naturally, there was a large representation of those in charge, from Sergio Ripamonti president of FIB Lombardia to Diego Vavassori, head of the Youth Commission to Giuseppe Asperti provincial delegate of Bergamo. A kaleidoscope vision, almost as if these manifestations were intended to go beyond the dream of the Dutch painter Willem de Kooning to create a painting that contained all the colours of the world. Perhaps Vincent Van Gogh came close to it, but we know that dreams often risk remaining just that if one does not have the tenacity to want to transform them into reality, and this time it seems that the dart has been thrown towards a surely bright target.
