Fano, Gaf returns with summer reruns: 4 dates, here's where

Fano, July 13, 2025 — Forty years of dialect theater , filled with laughter and emotion. The Gaf, the historic Fano Amateur Group, celebrates a significant milestone with a new production to savor: "Tra risèt… piant e malan… è pasèt già 40 ann," a title that speaks volumes. The company returns to the stage with its usual lightheartedness, eager to thrill audiences, drawing on a long tradition of combining comedy, family stories, and situations bordering on paradoxical. The summer tour will visit various venues across the region: it will begin on Thursday, July 17th at the BCC Arena in Tre Ponti di Fano, followed by a stop on Monday the 21st at the Piazza del Comune in Mondolfo. The final two performances are scheduled for Tuesday, July 22nd, at Lucrezia, on Via Adige, at the headquarters of the cultural association La Via della Seta (as part of a charity evening benefiting Vivere Sereni). The final performance is scheduled for Monday, August 4th, in Montecchio (City of Vallefoglia), in Piazza del Municipio. The comedy, a 40-year journey. Written and directed in classic "Gag" style, the comedy takes place in an unlikely hotel, the "Torrettebella," where two parallel stories intertwine: a father who, after 40 years, reunites with the children he abandoned, and two childhood friends who reunite after four decades. Chance—or fate—brings them all back to the same place, on the same date. But the real twist is that the Gaf is also celebrating 40 years of activity this year. So this story of returns also becomes a way to look back, smile at the passing of time, and, why not, be a little moved. The result of this show is a brilliant and surreal comedy, with the mix that has always been the company's trademark: fast-paced, brilliant jokes, misunderstandings, grotesque situations, and a finale that, as per tradition, "finìsc a'larversa." Between cornflowers and misplaced suitcases, the audience will be transported into a whirlwind of laughter, thanks to the talent of the actors and the solid understanding of a group that, for 40 years, has brought good humor throughout the province. After last winter's warm tribute, the Gaf returns to the stage with a production that feels both festive and grateful. "Tra risèt... piant e malan..." is more than just a comedy: it's an embrace for the audience, an invitation to laugh together at the passing of time. Because, as the title says, between a tear and a laugh... 40 years have already passed. And they have flown by.
