The countdown has begun for the Maturity exam, scheduled for June 18. The exam includes 7 topics, divided into 3 types, chosen by the Ministry of Education and the same for all study paths. The following day, the second address test will take place with Latin in the Classical, mathematics in the Scientific, among others, announced last January. Then, starting from the end of the month, the oral exams will begin. The examination commission will be, as per tradition, mixed: 3 internal commissioners, 3 external and an external president. This year, among the innovations, the weight of the grade in behavior. The State Exam presents two important innovations: the school-work alternation becomes mandatory for admission, just as the Invalsi tests remain an admission requirement. Above all, students with 6 in behavior will have to exhibit a paper on active and supportive citizenship, assigned by the class council and discussed in the oral exam. The first Italian exam consists of text analysis (type A), argumentative text (B) and current affairs essay (C). The second exam is used to evaluate students' skills in the main subjects of their course of study. The topics are specific to each course and concern the characterizing subjects, decided by January. The oral exam begins with the analysis of a text, a document, a project or a problem, material chosen by the Commission. The student must then present - with a short report or a multimedia essay - the experiences carried out in the context of the paths for transversal skills. Then we will move on to the questions of civic education. During the interview, it will also be possible to talk about the experiences included in the student's Curriculum. The maximum final grade is 100, the minimum is 60. The final grade is given by the sum of the credits obtained during the three-year period and the grades of the exam tests, 20 for the two written tests and 20 for the oral. The Examination Commission may also assign 5 bonus points and honors.
