WATCH THE VIDEO REPORT . The Michele Gortani Carnic Museum of Popular Arts in Tolmezzo celebrated the completion of a major restoration project. Also present at the ceremony were Governor Fedriga and Regional Finance Councilor Barbara Zilli, who reiterated the museum's importance as a high-quality cultural and tourism hub for the area.

The Region has supported the project with significant resources, allocating over one million euros to the Foundation, including contributions already disbursed and funds allocated for the coming years. In 2021, €100,000 was allocated for extraordinary maintenance, which allowed for the renovation of the entrance, ticket office, and bookshop. In 2025, a contribution of €224,000 funded the restoration of the façade, the renovation of the ground floor surfaces, and the restoration of the entrance door.

Funds already allocated for the 2025/2026 two-year period include further significant interventions. An old shed will be demolished to create a new multipurpose facility, designed to host workshops, concerts, and meetings. Restoration and conservation work on Casa Gortani are also planned, along with a program of workshops and local promotion aimed especially at young people.
