Wines Without Barriers, in Ercolano the Vesuvius cellars tell the story of the territory

Vesuvius tells its story with Wine Spot – Vini Senza Barriere , the event that gives voice to the winemaking excellence of this land, combining knowledge of wine with the discovery of the territory, with particular attention to social inclusion. Appointment Saturday 31 May to get to know the 13 wineries of Vesuvius, taste their wines and take a closer look at one of the most fascinating winemaking stories of our country. Wine Spot was born from the desire to enhance the wine heritage of this land together with its infinite cultural beauties: Villa Campolieto will host the tasting tables for a real tasting journey that transports you back in time. We are in Ercolano, in one of the most fascinating eighteenth-century villas of the Miglio d'Oro, the famous stretch of the Strada Regia delle Calabrie, the ancient route that extends for about 8 kilometers at the foot of Vesuvius and which houses a complex of over one hundred Vesuvian villas. A true temple of history where producers and enthusiasts will meet among stories of wine, great tastings and guided tours inside the villa.
Wine Spot is an event that combines excellent wines, promotion of the territory and its attractions, as well as a particular attention to inclusiveness. The initiative, conceived by Drop Eventi , will see the organization of numerous workshops dedicated to children with disabilities , for the entertainment of young visitors and their families. As well as the participation of Un fiore della vita, the social cooperative dedicated to the job placement of disadvantaged people or those in temporary difficulty. The Association's children will in fact be an integral part of the evening's catering, a concrete gesture that puts people and the value of the community at the center. The project also includes an immersive experience focused on the promotion of Vesuvius wines through the use of a 3D hologram that will show the history and peculiarities of this production through the storytelling of a sommelier. An engaging initiative to give the opportunity to immerse yourself in the wine culture of this territory, thanks to the use of new technologies.
To enrich the tasting day, the Dall'Uovo alle Mele Exhibition , an excursus that will reveal the historical soul of Villa Campolieto in a visit itinerary between stories, art and daily life from ancient Rome to the eighteenth century. And finally, immediately after the buffet open until 8:30 pm, space for live music with Sarah Jane Morris together with the Solis String Quartet , for a final evening among the notes of the string quartet. The event was created with the contribution of the Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Campania Region and with the consultancy and organizational support of VitignoItalia, the Salone dei Vini e dei Territori Vitivinicoli Italiani, a point of reference for the wine sector that, every year, makes Naples the stage for the excellence of Italian wine. Project co-financed with the National Single Fund for Tourism (FUNT) of the Campania Region current part 2024.
