'KPop Demon Hunters' hits theaters in Mexico

The film "Kpop Demon Hunters ", after its success on the streaming platform Netflix, will finally hit theaters in its " Sing-Along " version, where fans will have the opportunity to sing the songs alongside their favorite characters.

The film, one of the most popular in recent months, catapulted Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, the fictional K-pop trio called HUNTR/X, to fame. The girl group has been the talk of the town , even appearing on "The Tonight Show."

When "Kpop Demon Hunters" premiered in June, Sony Pictures never imagined the massive success that the characters of Rumi , Mira, and Zoey would have. Furthermore, the film's soundtrack and original songs have transcended the music industry.

Off-screen, the virtual group managed to position their songs in the Billboard Top 10 , and songs like "Golden" or "Soda Pop" have gone viral on social networks like TikTok, where fans created trends inspired by them and even had their characters appear in games like "Fortnite."

Through social networks it was announced that " Kpop Demon Hunters " will hit select theaters from October 31 to November 2 , coinciding with the Halloween and Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico.

What is "Kpop Demon Hunters" about?

The story of the animated film follows HUNTR/X, a girl group that acts as secret guardians of the world and, under the guise of K-pop singers, faces supernatural threats such as ghosts, rivaling mainly the "Saja Boys."

Rumi, Mira, and Zoey must face off against a rival gang that seeks to steal the hearts and minds of their fans while trying to balance their lives as K-pop artists.

"Kpop Demon Hunters" was produced by Sony Pictures Animation and directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhan , who mentioned that there could be a sequel, due to the large number of elements that could not be included in the first installment.
