Cervantes Theater: Children's Theater Welcome
The Cervantes Theater in Guanajuato will host "Scenes on the Fly," a three-play production that invites children to discover the more entertaining side of theater .
The performances will take place on May 17, 24, and 31 at 6:00 p.m. and general admission will cost 50 pesos .
Under the direction of Pedro Sosa , “Teatro Farisaico” will be presented on May 17 , where the Títitri Tátara group will offer a staging in which the Guanajuato artist Hermenegildo Bustos , after being immersed in a dream, awakens transcending more than 150 years .
Títiri Tátara was born in Guanajuato capital and is made up of professional puppeteers who have been recognized with different awards such as the State Theater Showcase , also participating in the International Cervantino Festival .
On May 24, “The Mayan Legend of the Hummingbird” will be exhibited, directed by Flor Rodríguez and performed by Mudanzas Teatro Escénico , based on a story of the Mayan people reciting the origin of the hummingbird , the messenger of the gods .
On May 31, the Kalipatos Teatro group will present "Zoom or the Dream of Happiness," directed by Eugenia Cano, immersing audiences in the story of an astronomical mosquito who seeks happiness among the stars.
Teatro Kalipatos is originally from Guanajuato and has participated in national and international productions and festivals , also creating the children's theater series "Dreamsectarium."
“Scenes in Flight” will seek to bring children and their families closer to the theater , connecting with stories that enrich the imagination.
