Nintendo Game Music to Go on Tour? Millennials Will Be Delighted

The popularity of Nintendo's music app could soon result in a symphonic event that video game fans around the world have been waiting for, according to Nintendo CEO Shuntaro Furukawa.
The idea for concert versions of the most famous music themes from the Japanese company Nintendo's games began to germinate with the success of the application launched in October last year. Nintendo Music initially made available 23 albums with soundtracks from the most famous games released by the studio. These included soundtracks from "Super Mario Bros.", "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time," "Pokemon Scarlet & Violet" and "Super Mario Odyssey."
Each week, one album appeared in the app. There are currently 57 of them. Users have access to, among other things, extended versions of well-known music themes or to create their own playlists, which can be listened to online. To use the app, you must have an active account in the Nintendo Switch Online service.
Nintendo and the Game Songs Concert TourDuring a recent meeting with shareholders, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa admitted, as reported by NintendoSoup, that the application was created, among other things, with the intention of awakening sentiment among former Nintendo players who, by listening to music from their once beloved games, will now return to playing them.
He added that the company is now considering a concert tour featuring symphonic versions of songs from Nintendo games. He did not provide any details about that project, however.
Nintendo already has some experience with live music. Between 2012 and 2017, the "The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of Goddesses" symphony concerts were held around the world.
