From the deep red of the album "Red" to the mint-orange style of "The Life of a Showgirl"... Color marketing experts confirm that Taylor Swift's color choices inspire trends in fashion and interiors.

The announcement of Taylor Swift's 12th studio album, "The Life of a Showgirl," flooded the internet with photos in shades of orange and mint . Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute , a color consulting firm, emphasized in an interview with Billboard magazine that the artist effectively connects colors with her feelings, creating a coherent visual narrative.

"Colors are powerful emotional triggers, so linking each period in her work to specific colors is a brilliant marketing tool," agrees Sue Wadden, director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams, a paint company.

Wadden notes that her company's 2026 color trend forecast reflects the visuals of "The Life of a Showgirl." Two of the four palettes—"Frosted Tints" (featuring cool pastels) and "Sunbaked Hues" (featuring warm, sunny hues)—directly reference the colors of Swift's new album.

Experts agree that the artist has a huge influence on consumer trends in fashion, makeup, and interior design. Pressman mentions that people contact Pantone about specific colors associated with Swift. Waddem, however, noted that after Swift announced her new album, numerous companies introduced the tangerine-mint trend on their social media accounts.
