The Minister of Foreign Affairs' competition for the best history book has been announced

Until August 31, you can submit books to the competition of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the best foreign-language publication on the history of Poland - the Rynek-Ksiazki.pl portal informed on Monday.
The competition is a new edition of the Minister’s Historical Competition, which has existed since 2017, and publications published in 2023 and 2024 may be entered into it.
"Only book publications (both scientific monographs and popular science publications and editions of sources) with no more than three authors may be submitted to the competition" - we read in the information.
The winners will receive a cash prize of EUR 10,000 for first place, EUR 5,000 for second place, and EUR 2,500 for third place.
As indicated, works for the competition should be submitted as electronic files in pdf format or as e-books in formats commonly available on the market. Books in electronic form should be sent to the following address: [email protected] with the title "Competition of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Best Historical Book 2025".
"It is also possible to send 6 copies of the publication (the date of the postmark is decisive), however, the electronic form is preferred. Published reviews, opinions and publishing reviews can be attached to the publication" - it was written in the announcement.
According to the competition rules, publications can be written in any language. The entry must be accompanied by the written consent of the author or authors to participate in the competition and their contact details, along with a signed consent form for the processing of personal data. (PAP)
