All About Jason Kelce’s Wife, Kylie McDevitt Kelce

All About Jason Kelce’s Wife, Kylie McDevitt Kelce

NFL star Jason Kelce played as the Philadelphia Eagles’ center before retiring and leaving his younger brother, Travis Kelce, as the only Kelce in the league. Travis, with whom Jason hosts podcast New Heights, plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. Their parents, Ed and Donna, flew back and forth to catch their boys’ games. Also flying around for NFL games is Travis’ girlfriend, Taylor Swift, who has been getting to know the whole crew.

With the increased attention on Travis and his family now that he’s dating Swift, Jason’s own love life has been in the spotlight more. Jason has been married to Kylie McDervitt Kelce for six years. They share four children, and they’re still going strong. Here’s everything to know about the football couple and their family.

Who is Kylie McDervitt Kelce?

Kylie was born in 1992 in a suburb of Philadelphia called Narberth. Both the Eagles and the the neighborhood are very familiar to her. She went on to attend college at nearby Cabrini University in Wayne, Pennsylvania, where she majored in communications. When she graduated in 2017, Jason was there to celebrate.

In October 2019, Jason spoke to reporters about having just become a parent with Kylie. He recalled her background, saying, “She’s from the area. Both of her parents are here, my parents came in, and she has a lot of friends, family members. She’s not alone by any stretch of the imagination [taking care of the baby]...there’s not much I can do. Obviously, I can be supportive and whatnot, but, you know, you can’t milk me.”

They went on to have three more children, and Jason obviously found more ways to help with parenting them.

Jason’s wife is also an athlete. Kylie played field hockey at Lower Marion High School, where she served as head coach, and then again in college. According to her Cabrini Athletics page, she was named to the All-CSAC First Team and ECAC South All-Stars First Team. Since graduating, she’s kept up with the sport and has said that joining Cabrini Field Hockey team was “one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”

The couple is philanthropic, too. In 2022, Jason established his own foundation, (Be)Philly, a nonprofit dedicated to Philadelphia’s youth. For her part, Kylie helps raise money for the Eagles Autism Foundation, hosting an annual event at Ocean Drive in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, as well as donating their own money.

How did Jason and Kylie Kelce meet?

The Kelces are a rare famous couple who admit they connected on the dating app Tinder, matching around 2015. In an episode of Jason and Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast in September 2023, Kylie shared what she thought when she first swiped right on him.

“His profile at the time was something along the lines of, ‘I want to have deep meaningful conversations and talk about getting married and having kids,’” she said, but when he met her at the bar, he “fell asleep” about 45 minutes into their date “because he was too drunk.”

His fellow Eagles player Bo Allen then accomplished the most “physical feat of his life when he fireman carried [Jason] back to his apartment.”

Jason took the assessment in good fun, adding that he was “sober enough to know” that Kylie was “the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life.” He made sure to tell listeners that their second date “went much better.”

They shared the story again in Kelce, a documentary on Amazon Prime, in which she revealed she didn’t know who he was to begin with. “None of his pictures showed Eagles football,” she said. She then repeated the passing out part. “Forty-five minutes later, he fell asleep at the bar, like just, out, like asleep, asleep,” she said. “The next day, he called and was like, ‘Can we try that again?’”

How long have they been together?

They were married at Logan Hotel in Philadelphia on April 14, 2018.

On their one-year anniversary, Kylie wrote on Instagram, “One year ago today we stood in front of our closest friends and family and vowed our love and commitment to each other. I am so beyond grateful that I get to share my life with this man.”

Do Jason and Kylie Kelce have children?

In the interview from 2019, Jason reflected on how he’s wanted kids since he was a kid himself.

“I was reminded by my dad of a story when my brother was born. My brother [Travis Kelce] was [born] two years after I was,” he said. “I was in the waiting room and stuff like that, and one of the nurses came up [and asked me,] ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ and I said, ‘Oh, I want to be a dad.’ So it’s kind of come full circle.”

That first child was Wyatt Elizabeth Kelce, born on Oct. 2, 2019. Their second daughter, Elliotte Ray, arrived on March 4, 2021. Their third daughter, Bennett Llewellyn, was born Feb. 23, 2023. And their fourth little girl, Finnley “Finn” Anne Kelce, arrived on March 30, 2025.

On February 2, the entire Kelce family was spotted hanging out with Minnie and Mickey Mouse at Disney World. In a TikTok video posted by the NFL, Jason is seen sweetly taking his second oldest daughter on the teacup ride. “Which one do you want to go in?” he asked, as he carried her to the ride.

In July 2024, rumors circulated that Kylie might be pregnant. She responded in a TikTok, calling the speculation “insensitive” and shared a story about pregnancy loss.

“I have had a number of articles written about me since the middle of last football season, stating that I am pregnant. I’m not,” she said in the July 19 video. “I haven’t been pregnant since I gave birth to Bennie, and she’s almost a year and a half old.”

Kylie continued, “I cannot stand people writing such insensitive articles about such a sensitive topic. Really lights my fire.”

She went on to explain, “I had a miscarriage before Wyatt. I went in for my 13-week ultrasound, there was no heartbeat. And I had to have a D&E a few days later...So I do not take getting pregnant or trying to get pregnant lightly. Let the parents say it when they’re good and ready.”

In Nov. 22, 2024, they announced they were expecting baby number four on Instagram, sharing a picture of their three girls reacting to getting another sister.

On a bonus episode of the New Heights podcast, Jason shared that this might be the last addition to the family.

“We’ll see, this might be it,” he said. “Might be the last hurrah.”

Travis replied, “I think four beautiful little girls is very magical number...You can always go for the starting five.”

Jason then explained that he and his wife have been debating how many kids to have for a while.

“Kylie said five,” he said. “But I don’t know if she’s feeling that anymore, I think she’s like, ‘I’m done.’”

He went on, “Ellie is happy she’s no longer the middle child. Wyatt is like, ‘This is too much,’ and Benny is no longer the baby in a few months.”

Jason did say he is “obviously super excited.”

“I just love my daughters so much,” he said. “The fact that we're going to be getting another one is beyond exciting.”

Jason continued, “I want this baby to come out happy and healthy. That’s all you can ask for. Very, very excited about welcoming another child to our already chaotic household.”

What did Jason say about Kylie in his retirement speech?

He gave her a tribute when he announced his retirement from football on March 4, 2024. “She was beautiful, smart, serious, yet playful,” Jason said of first meeting her, via Entertainment Tonight. “I knew it right away. I think it’s no coincidence I have enjoyed the best years of my career with Kylie by my side. Every accolade I have ever received in my life has come with her in my life.”

“She has brought the best out of me through love, devotion, support, honesty, intelligence, and of course a swift kick in the ass from time to time,” he added. “She has also given me three beautiful girls and a life that increasingly brings me more fulfillment off the field than it does on. We’ve had a great run, Ky.”

What did Kylie say about Jason in her commencement speech for her alma mater?

On May 19, 2024, Kylie was asked to speak at Cabrini University for its final graduation ceremony before the school closes, per Entertainment Tonight. Kylie graduated from Cabrini in 2017. In her speech, she delivered a vulnerable, inspiring message to the class of 2024.

She opened up her speech with humor, pointing out how the university “couldn’t even get a top five Kelce” for their ceremony.

She jokingly added, “My husband, Jason Kelce, is known for giving some pretty earth-shattering speeches. He did not help me in writing my words today, so you can go ahead and lower those expectations.”

Kylie spoke about her educational journey, and how switching her major and transferring schools led her to Cabrini. She explained that “figuring it out as you go” is okay and normal.

“The truth is that no one has their lives completely figured out. And if someone tells you otherwise, they are lying,” she said.

“This is part of the beauty of growing older and wiser. You are better equipped with knowledge to make more informed decisions,” Kylie told the graduating class. “Just look at me now. I’m 32, mom of three.”

Kylie admitted to the students that she, too, is still learning how to navigate life.

“Where did the time go? I couldn’t tell you. But what I can tell you is I have no idea what I’m doing. Every day, we are winging it. Just trying not to mess our kids up—come to find out that’s what our parents did, too,” she shared, adding, “You are not alone in trying to navigate the conundrum of life.”

“I am well aware that my current position in life is due to the wonderful people around me, but I’ll be damned if I don’t stay true to myself in everything I do and ensure that I am always authentically me,” Kylie explained. “So find the things that speak to you. Your enthusiasm can be channeled to create change, and you are wonderful the way you are.”

On February 4, Jason told People that the the whole family plans to be at the 2025 Super Bowl, where Travis’s team the Kansas City Chiefs will be playing the Philadelphia Eagles.

“Yeah, I think everybody’s coming in,” he shared. “I mean, I don’t want to speak for everybody, but I think obviously, our whole family. I believe, obviously Trav and Taylor, and his family and his friends. I mean, Trav always travels like, full.”

Ahead of the game on the Not Gonna Lie, Kylie admitted she’s conflicted, being a life-long Eagles fan.

“Obviously this time when the Eagles play the Chiefs, it is a little bit different because my husband is retired from the Eagles. That being said, I am so happy and proud of Travis and the Chiefs’ accomplishments,” she said. “I think the opportunity to play for such a historic milestone is incredible to be able to potentially witness. And I think Travis has been there for his entire career. He has worked so hard and put in so much time that I am truly, as always, cheering Travis on. And I love him. He’s my family, so I will always cheer on Travis’ accomplishments and hopefully success.”

Kylie added, “That being said, I was raised to bleed green. I have friends who are still associated with the team. I have a close relationship with a lot of people in the Eagles organization. I get to live in the Philadelphia community. So I also will be cheering for the success of those people.”

How did the couple announce their fourth daughter’s arrival?

Kylie and Jason did a joint Instagram on April 1, 2025. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce both liked the post featuring the first photos of Finnley, while Michelle Obama commented, “Congrats, Kylie & Jason!”
