The competition, published this Monday in the Official Gazette and which will be open for proposals for two months , provides for the purchase of SIRESP radios and satellite communication systems, divided into two lots and with an execution period of four months.
One lot is intended for the purchase of 348 SIRESP radios, with a base price of around 400 thousand euros , and the second lot provides for the acquisition of 50 satellite communication systems, with a base price of around 186 thousand euros , according to the announcement of the public tender, consulted by the Lusa agency.
Both the SIRESP radios and the satellite communication systems will then be delivered to up to 20 different locations in the 19 municipalities of the CIMRC.
This equipment is intended for fire departments in the Coimbra Region.
“This acquisition aims to increase the Coimbra Region’s communications capacity in serious accident and disaster scenarios,” explained CIM, in one of the documents associated with the competition.
In addition to delivering the equipment, the successful bidder will also have to provide training and participate in a simulation to test the new communications system.
