Emily in Paris season 5 will be filmed in Venice, Italy

The fifth season of "Emily in Paris" will feature Venice as one of the settings for the adventures of the protagonist, played by Lily Collins. The information, not confirmed by Netflix, was revealed by the governor of Veneto, Luca Zaia, who said that the show's director, Andrew Fleming, has been exploring the famous Italian city in the Lagoon to film some episodes between August 5th and 15th.
"This confirms that our region is becoming increasingly attractive for major global audiovisual productions," Zaia said, as quoted by Variety, adding that Fleming has received assistance in his research from the Regional Film Commission and the Venice-based production company 360 Degrees Film.
The new recordings of "Emily in Paris" began in May in Rome and continued in June in Paris, where the story of the young woman from Chicago began after moving to the capital of France.
Last season, Emily moved to Italy as a representative for the French marketing agency where she works.
After dating a British man and a French man in Paris, the character gave her heart to an Italian man in Rome.
The announcement of the continuation of the plot in Venice comes just days after the controversy surrounding the wedding of Amazon owner and one of the richest men in the world, Jeff Bezos, with journalist Lauren Sánchez in the capital of Veneto.
Venice is currently one of the cities most threatened in Italy by the climate crisis, especially due to the constant rise in sea levels, which has already forced the construction of a billion-dollar floodgate system to protect the historic center from flooding.
