Great Scout Caracolada returns to the Municipal Market of Tavira

For the sixth year, the Tavira Group 100 of the National Scout Corps ( CNE ) will hold its Great Scout Caracolada, on May 17th, next to the Municipal Market (former docks space).

The first editions, held in 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024, were “very successful”, so in 2025 the Grande Caracolada à Escuteiro is back for its sixth edition.

The event returns to the same location, next to the Municipal Market (former docks space), and features musical entertainment by Grupo +2, Rancho Folclórico de Santo Estêvão and a performance by Grupo Dance Company.

Scheduled to start at 1:00 pm, entry is free.

“It will undoubtedly be a very lively afternoon”, the organization assures.

The already famous snails, bifanas, pica-pau, among other specialties will also be present at the Grande Caracolada à Escuteiro to make this event a reference.

There will also be inflatables and other entertainment for the little ones.

The National Scouting Corps – Portuguese Catholic Scouting, is an association created in 1923 whose purpose is the comprehensive education of children and young people of both genders, based on adult volunteering, which has more than 70,000 members nationwide and more than 40 million worldwide.

Thus, the CNE is a non-profit, public utility association recognized by the Portuguese Government.
