Jennifer Lawrence Wears Dreamy Semi-Sheer Nude Top Over Glittering Embroidered Dress
preview for The Best Oscar Dresses of All Time

On Sunday, Jennifer Lawrence continued her series of press events for Die, My Love, her newest film, which premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on May 17. For the press conference, Lawrence wore a flowing embroidered dress in a nude tone fading into a leafy green tint at the hem, which was embroidered with a floral motif.

Over the dress, the actress had on a semi-sheer nude top to match. She accessorized with aviator sunglasses, dangling colorful earrings, and a pair of sandals. Lawrence left her hair down and was wearing a natural makeup palette with a coral pink lip.

During her interview, Lawrence discussed the Lynne Ramsay-directed movie, which follows a young woman named Grace who is struggling after having her first child. Lawrence shared a bit about her experiences as a new mother and with post-partum depression. She shares two children with husband Cooke Maroney, welcoming her second child in March of this year. Lawrence revealed she was already five months pregnant while filming Die, My Love.

“I’m not an actor who brings the work home,” she said. “It’s part hormonal imbalance, but she’s also having an identity crisis—who am I as a mother, as a wife as a sexual person. She’s plagued with this feeling that she’s disappearing. The only way for me to dip into some of this visceral emotion.”

She continued, “Having children changes your whole life—it’s brutal and incredible. Not only does it go into every decision of if I’m working, when I’m working and where I’m working. My job has a lot to do with emotion; they’ve opened up the world to me. It’s almost like feeling a blister, so sensitive. They’ve changed my life for the best and they’ve changed me creatively. I highly recommend having kids if you want to be an actor.”

A few hours later, it was announced by Deadline that Mubi had bought the rights to Die, My Love for distribution for close to $24 million.
