The 71st Book Fair continues this weekend with its program.

The Saturday (8) schedule at the 71st Porto Alegre Book Fair, at Praça da Alfândega, will be normal with various activities for all audiences, from 10 am to 8 pm. This Friday, 7, activities will end at 5 pm, due to weather conditions.
Some of the highlights this Saturday include, at 5:30 PM, at the Petrobras Carlos Urbim Theater (Praça da Alfândega), "Poetry, the Lap of Words," bringing together Bruna Lombardi, Fabrício Carpinejar, and Maria Carpi, moderated by Juliana Bublitz. The audience will be able to follow an affectionate and plural dialogue about poetry and its unfolding.
At the Maurício Sirotsky Sobrinho Autograph Plaza, writer and patron Martha Medeiros will participate in an autograph session for her book Poesia Reunida (L&PM), offering the public the opportunity to celebrate her literary production in a direct encounter with the author.
On Sunday the 9th, the program includes, among other activities, the Creative and Therapeutic Writing Workshop with writer Lu Thomé, at 2:30 pm, in the Erico Verissimo auditorium, at Andradas, 1085. At 5:30 pm, it's Milton Hatoum's turn to revisit Memories and Identities, moderated by Sérgius Gonzaga, at the same location.
Urban Legends - The city government is participating in the fair with the booth "Intangible Heritage: The Urban Legends of Porto Alegre," organized by the Municipal Secretariat of Culture through the Joaquim José Felizardo Museum.
The exhibition features panels about stories that are part of the popular imagination of the capital city, recognized as intangible cultural heritage. Among them are the crimes of Rua do Arvoredo, Maria Degolada, the tears of Obirici, and the cursed towers.
During the event, informational material about the legends will be distributed to the visiting public.
