Three arrested for attempted murder

Three men aged between 30 and 40 were arrested by the PSP in flagrante delicto on Friday in the parish of Bobadela as they were suspected of attempting to commit murder, it was announced this Sunday.
In a statement, the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP, through the Loures Police Division, states that the three men were brought before the competent Judicial Authority at the Judicial Court of the District of North Lisbon, with the coercive measure of preventive detention being applied to one and an identity and residence order being applied to the other two.
In addition to the arrests, a 6.35 mm caliber firearm and around 15 individual doses of cocaine were seized during this police intervention, the statement said.
“The aforementioned arrests occurred as part of a visibility patrol action, in which police officers came across a group of individuals on the public road physically attacking each other, with one of the detainees, at a certain point, brandishing a firearm and firing several shots, with the clear intention of hitting his opponents,” the statement said.
