Temporary flight restrictions were imposed at Astrakhan and Volgograd airports early on Saturday morning, September 27, according to Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) spokesperson Artem Korenyako.

"Astrakhan (Narimanovo) and Volgograd airports. Temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures have been introduced," reads a message posted on Korenyako's Telegram channel.

Korenyako announced the introduction of a temporary flight ban at 05:35 Moscow time.

The restrictions have been introduced to ensure the safety of aircraft flights.

It was previously reported that American Airlines pilots forgot to release the landing gear during landing in Phoenix .
