Russian Minister of Labor Anton Kotyakov, commenting on the distribution of holidays and non-working days for 2026, expressed confidence that the situation will also be positive next year.

According to the production calendar, 247 working days and 118 non-working days are planned for 2025, of which 14 are holidays. RIA Novosti writes about this.

"I am confident that everything will be fine next year," Kotyakov noted in an interview with RIA Novosti, discussing the production calendar, which is currently under review by the ministry.

The list of non-working holidays is determined by Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. It includes not only New Year and May holidays, but also Defender of the Fatherland Day, International Women's Day and National Unity Day.

This year, the New Year holidays lasted 11 days - from December 29, 2024 to January 8, 2025. Also non-working days were February 22 and 23, March 8 and 9. On May holidays, Russians rested from May 1 to May 4 and from May 8 to May 11.

Earlier, Russians were reminded about the short working week in the summer. The next long weekend in the country will begin on June 12 and will last until June 15. They will be preceded by a three-day working week from June 9 to 11, with June 11 being a short working day.
