Cathedral Factory: Funds Arrive for the Underground

From the early Christian foundations of the Cathedral to the multimedia rooms of the Museum of Peoples and Cultures , passing through historical paths: the province of Milan is among the recipients of the funding allocated by the Lombardy Region with the Single Culture Notice 2025, a measure that supports enhancement, restoration and innovation projects in the archaeological, museum, immaterial and territorial fields.

Among the funded projects, the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo stands out, receiving €49,044 in capital funding for the redevelopment of the Duomo's archaeological area. The project will improve accessibility to the underground route through the remains of the early Christian basilicas and the baptistery of San Giovanni alle Fonti, with the installation of interactive digital media and inclusive signage. Also in Milan, the PIME Foundation Onlus received €25,000 to enhance the Museum of Peoples and Cultures on Via Monte Rosa.
