Jazz Festival . Sound languages ​​from all over the world

Great jazz music returns to the city, from July 16 to 20, with the international Villa del Grumello Jazz Festival , and a special guest: the American guitarist Mike Stern . Promoted by the Villa del Grumello Association, with the artistic direction of Flavio Minardo, the festival opens up to multiple sound languages ​​and welcomes artists from all over the world.

We start on Wednesday 16 July at 9pm with Javier Girotto & Aires Tango "30" . Born in 1994, they represent a unique thing in the musical panorama: a fusion between the roots of Argentine music and the expressive and free language of jazz.

Thursday 17 July will see the performance of Josh Meader Quartet , a leading Australian instrumental group in the contemporary jazz scene, founded by guitarist Josh Meader, known for his innovative fusion style and his ability to improvise.

The third evening, scheduled for Friday 18 July again at 9 pm at Serre, will be dedicated to Fado, the most authentic musical expression of the Portuguese soul. One of the world's greatest interpreters of the Portuguese guitar, Custódio Castelo , will take the stage, accompanied by the intense voice of Ana Paula and the musician Cajé: a journey through the melodies born from the ocean waves, between poetry and song.

The festival will end on Sunday 20 July in the Grumello park with the exceptional presence of the Mike Stern Band , led by American guitarist Mike Stern. In a career spanning four decades and a discography that includes more than a dozen eclectic and innovative recordings, Mike Stern, nominated for five Grammys, has established himself as one of the leading jazz and jazz-fusion guitarists and one of the most esteemed composers of his generation.
