Modern scammers skillfully disguise themselves as ordinary people, remaining unnoticed in a crowd, but possessing a dangerous set of qualities. The Department for Combating Cybercrimes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has compiled a psychological portrait of a typical swindler.

These criminals are confident in their own superiority, tech-savvy, and skilled at manipulating emotions. They create a false sense of urgency, using hacked accounts, phishing sites, and malware. Their language is often saccharine or aggressive, and their main motive is self-interest and self-affirmation at the expense of their victims.

"Citizen, remember - the enemy is cunning and dangerous. Here he is - a swindler. Appearance: unremarkable, blends into the crowd. Characteristic features: confident in his superiority over citizens, strong against the weak, cunning and dodgy, a professional deceiver, technically savvy and prone to narcissism," the department reported.

However, fraudsters have their weak points. They get confused when asked clarifying questions, are afraid of checking information and quickly retreat, sensing the interlocutor's knowledge. Experts emphasize that the best defense is vigilance, a cool head and the habit of double-checking suspicious situations. The main thing is not to give in to artificially created haste and stay calm.

Earlier it was reported that in the Krasnodar region a woman was brutally murdered and her house was set on fire, with her body hidden in a carpet.
