Many events will meet art lovers in Istanbul this week.

This week in Istanbul, many events, from concerts to exhibitions, from theater plays to performances, will be held for art lovers.

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) City Theaters will present the following plays on October 22-25 at the Üsküdar Musahipzade Celal Stage: "Bedroom Comedy" on the Ümraniye Stage: "The Beginning of the Second Act" on the Üsküdar Kerem Yılmazer Stage: "The Play That Ran Off the Road" on the Kağıthane Sadabad Stage: "Gidion's Knot" on the Müze Gazhane Meydan Stage: "Dog's Heart" on the Müze Gazhane Prof. Dr. Sevda Şener Stage: and "You Are More Beautiful Than Istanbul" on October 25 at the Beylikdüzü Fatih Sultan Mehmet Culture and Arts Center Rasim Öztekin Stage:

At the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM), you can watch the "Five Seasons" dance show today, the "Raspberry" theater play tomorrow, the "Swan Lake" ballet on October 23 and 25, and the "Delirium" dance show on October 24.

At the AKM Yeşilçam Cinema, the following films will be on the big screen today, October 22nd and 23rd : "Van Gogh: At Eternity's Gate" , today and October 22nd : "Dreams", today and October 23rd: "From the Beginning", October 22nd: "Chuck's Life" , and October 23rd: "The Villagers".

The play "The Tender Was Left to Me" will be staged on October 25th at the House Of Performance Alt Sahne, and the play "Pride and Prejudice* (*something like)" will be staged on October 24th at Maximum Uniq Open Air.

"29TH ISTANBUL THEATRE FESTIVAL" BEGINS

The 29th Istanbul Theater Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), is underway. This year, the festival will host theatergoers with six international and ten local plays.

The event, which will feature a selection of new local productions that will bring a different breath to today's theatre, will continue until November 22.

"We Dance Together: The Turkish Down Syndrome Association Dance Performance" will be on stage today, "Scapino Ballet Rotterdam: Cathedral, An Evening with Arvo Part" today and tomorrow, "Who Are We?" on October 22-23, "Hamlet" on October 24-25, "A Woman's Fights and Transformations" on October 25-26, and "What Happened in Istanbul on the Road to Love: Circassian Rıdvan's Cabinet" on October 26.

"ARS ELECTRONICA" WILL MEET ART LOVERS AT ZORLU PSM

The international media art festival "Ars Electronica" will be with art lovers at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center (PSM) until October 28.

The festival, which will be held in partnership with Zorlu PSM and Piksel.Creative Solutions, will welcome visitors with a wide-ranging program ranging from exhibitions and spatial installations to screen-based works, from performances that push the boundaries of sound and light to workshops.

Among the works featured in this year's edition are the hypnotic kinetic sculpture "Cycloid-E" and "Cod.Act", which transform space with vibration and resonance; Marc Vilanova's "Cascade," which transforms electromagnetic waves into a waterfall-like light and sound performance; Martyna Marciniak's " Anatomy of Non-Fact," which prompts reflection on hyper-reality and artificial intelligence; and Noor Stenfert Kroese's "Fading Colors" installation, which makes the climate crisis visible through living algae cultures.

"Universal Everything" invites the viewer to become part of a digital universe that interacts with movement and is shaped by the body's gestures.

The festival, which will also host young talent from Turkey, will feature live performances, talks, and workshops alongside the exhibition. Participants will also be treated to "Flock Off," a performance by "bit.studio" that fuses the rhythms of nature with digital forms.

THIS WEEK'S CONCERTS

British electronic music group C lean Bandit, Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut and M Lisa will meet with music lovers as part of "adidas Originals Presents: The Sound of Superstar" at the Volkswagen Arena on October 24th, while Croatian pianist Maksim Mrvica will appear before the audience on October 25th.

Spanish-British musician Gizmo Varillas will meet his fans at Babylon on October 26.

British band "Shame" will give a concert at Blind Istanbul on October 26th.

Kenan Doğulu will give concerts at the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Stage today, Edis on October 22, Ziynet Sali on October 23, Yıldız Tilbe on October 24, Göksel on October 25, and Sena Şener on October 25.

Dilek Türkan will meet the audience at Swissotel The Bosphorus tomorrow with her "Acoustic Nights" concert.

The concerts "Voice of a Nation, 90th Year on the Path of Light" will take place tomorrow at the AKM ; the "Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra DenizBank Concerts Republic Day Concert" will be held on October 24; the "From the Conquest to the Present: A Historical Journey Mehter Concert" will be held on October 25; the "Republic Day AXA Turkey Concert" and "Salute to Uncle, in Memory of İlhan Şeşen" will be held on October 26.

Erol Evgin and Aşkın Nur Yengi will give a concert at Günay Restaurant Istanbul on October 24, Kamuran Akkor at Nossa Costa, Ferhat Göçer at Zorlu PSM on October 25, and Derya Bedavacı at Jolly Joker Atakent Tema on October 22.
