Several kick-sharing operators have raised fines for violating the rules for using rental electric scooters. Legal expert Maxim Tishakov told the Prime agency about this.

Such measures have been introduced against minors who like to ride. It is this category of Russians who most often have incidents with electric scooters. Teenagers often violate traffic rules.

“Commercial organizations that provide SIMs for rent establish conditions in contracts prohibiting the operation of the rented electric scooter by a person or its transfer for use by third parties who have not reached the age of sixteen, or in some regions, the age of majority,” Tishakov noted.

The fine is set at the legislative level in the amount of 1.5 thousand rubles (Administrative Code). But companies do not agree with such an insignificant punishment. So now teenagers face a fine of 30 thousand rubles instead of 10 thousand rubles for violations. This will not affect Moscow, since a 100 thousand fine is already in effect there.

Earlier, MK wrote that a bill was introduced to the State Duma to toughen penalties for drivers who fail to let ambulances pass .
