Harlan Coben Gets His Own Series! He'll Host True Crime Production

Harlan Coben is one of the best-selling writers of thrillers and crime novels in the world. Many of them have been adapted into films. Now, their author himself will be the hero of a CBS production. Coben will host a true crime series - "Harlan Coben's Final Twist".

As reported by Variety, the American writer in the hour-long episodes of "Harlan Coben's Final Twist" will take viewers through "gripping stories of murders, high-profile crimes that will be meticulously unraveled to reveal hidden truths, deceptions and lies."

"Through exclusive interviews and never-before-seen archival footage, the series will provide in-depth insight into stories where nothing is as it seems," CBS said in a statement. The series will debut later this year.

Coben's involvement in such a production seems natural. He has created many popular novels that have sold over 90 million copies worldwide and which often feature unresolved or unfinished issues from the past, such as murders and tragic accidents.

As the only contemporary author, Coben has received three of the most prestigious literary awards given in the crime novel category: the Anthony Award, the Barry Award and the most important, the Edgar Award.
